After confirming pregnancy through the appropriate testing, the expectant mother should apply to the Women’s Consultation Department of Slavmed Medical Center to undergo an ultrasound examination in order to \u00a0confirm the correct position of the fetus, its development and heartbeat of the zygote, as well as to monitor the course of pregnancy. Every woman with Armenian citizenship residing in the city of Yerevan and in possession of a state sponsored delivery certificate has a right to complimentary childbirth in Slavmed Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Necessary laboratory and instrumental studies by quarters in pregnant women of \u00a0high and low risk \u00a0groups<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first trimester –\u00a0<\/strong>11-14\u00a0<\/strong>weeks gestation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first important screening\u00a0is targeted\u00a0to\u00a0discover any\u00a0potential\u00a0indications of possible chromosomal anomalies.<\/p>\n

Interventions\u00a0necessary\u00a0during this period\u00a0are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– a\u00a0pregnancy ultrasound<\/p>\n

– full blood count<\/p>\n

– blood typing and RH factor test<\/p>\n

– vaginal smear examination<\/p>\n

-common urine examination<\/p>\n

-glucose<\/p>\n

– urea<\/p>\n

– prothrombin time (INR)<\/p>\n

– hepatitis B<\/p>\n

– hepatitis C<\/p>\n

– syphilis<\/p>\n

– therapeutic advice<\/p>\n

-ECG<\/p>\n

– a single free advice of narrowly focused specialist (endocrinologist, neuropathist, \u00a0ophthalmologist)<\/p>\n

At 11-14 or 18-22 weeks’ gestation genetic testings, PAPP-A, Free \u03b2hCG, AFP, Free Estriol are performed based on the mothers-to-be request or per gynecologist\u2019s referral.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The second trimester –\u00a0<\/strong>1<\/strong>8<\/strong>–<\/strong>22<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>weeks gestation<\/strong><\/p>\n

A\u00a0detailed examination of the fetus structure\u00a0is performed\u00a0during the second screening.<\/p>\n

Interventions\u00a0necessary\u00a0during this period\u00a0are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-ultrasound<\/p>\n

-at 30 week-laboratory testings<\/p>\n

– full blood count<\/p>\n

– common urine examination<\/p>\n

– vaginal smear examination<\/p>\n

– glucose<\/p>\n

– urea<\/p>\n

– prothrombin time \u00a0(INR)<\/p>\n

– syphilis<\/p>\n

– therapeutic advice<\/p>\n

Doppler ultrasound is performed at 26-30 weeks’ gestation \u00a0per gynecologist\u2019s referral.<\/p>\n

All pregnant women (RA citizens) are provided with uncapacity list and obstetric aid state certificate.<\/p>\n

The third trimester –\u00a032<\/strong>–<\/strong>34<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>weeks gestation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third <\/strong>screening test aims to gain information on delivery <\/strong><\/p>\n

Interventions\u00a0necessary\u00a0during this period\u00a0are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– ultrasound<\/p>\n

– at 36-37 weeks- full blood count<\/p>\n

– common urine examination<\/p>\n

Visits to the gynecologist are unlimited.<\/p>\n

Necessary documents:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-passport (pregnant woman\u2019s and her husband\u2019s)<\/p>\n

-obstetric aid state certificate<\/p>\n

-ID card<\/p>\n

-marriage certificate<\/p>\n

-social security card<\/p>\n

Necessary documents for foreigners:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– passport (pregnant woman\u2019s and her husband)<\/p>\n

– a copy of marriage certificate<\/p>\n

– a copy of residence card<\/p>\n

The following is required<\/strong> for the b<\/strong>irthing mother<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– gown<\/p>\n

– 2 night-gowns<\/p>\n

– socks<\/p>\n

– slippers<\/p>\n

– towel<\/p>\n

– sanitary pads<\/p>\n

– cotton underwear (15 items)<\/p>\n

The following will be required for the newborn:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– diapers<\/p>\n

– baby wipe<\/p>\n

– baby clothes (pre-washed and pre-ironed)<\/p>\n
