The anesthesiology and resuscitation department of \u201cSlavmed\u201d Medical Center is equipped with cutting-edge medical appliances, which enables the specialists to perform all types of anesthesia, both general and local. The department gets regularly renovated and replenished with the best internationally recognized equipment that enables the center’s anesthesiologists and\u00a0resuscitationists to use respiratory and diagnostic devices for daily activities, as well as monitors, which simultaneously record and diagnose the patient’s vital signs. The department is also equipped with modern medicaments for comprehensive clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Due to the department\u2019s specialists being highly qualified and experienced in the field, a 24-hour care is provided even with the most complicated surgical procedures. Specialists of anesthesiology and resuscitation department of \u201cSlavmed\u201d Medical Center regularly receive training at leading foreign medical institutions; they also attend major medical conferences and seminars, including presenting their own materials. Anesthesiology<\/strong> and intensive care<\/strong><\/p>\n The department uses all modern methods of anesthesia and intensive therapy; all techniques of general and regional anesthesia are performed here. Spinal anesthesia is the\u00a0preferred method for cesarean delivery, as this method nullifies the negative effect of drugs on fetus. Method of anesthesia is chosen individually for each woman giving birth, by a mutual decision of the obstetrician-gynecologist and the anesthesiologist. A long-term epidural anesthesia technique, an effective way of relieving the\u00a0pain throughout a delivery, is widely used for\u00a0cesarean delivery.
