Free consultation and medical examination to everyone
Slavmed medical center opens its doors free of charge for all those who need medical assistance. The Development Director of Slavmed medical center Arman Kharazyan told about it in the conversation with NEWS.am Medicine.
According to him, free consultation and medical examination provided by leading specialists in the center from November 1 to December 1 will contribute to the development of health culture in society.
“The goal of the center is not to schedule a free service in the lives of citizens, but to develop a culture of keeping healthy in society,” he said. According to him, people often do not apply to the physician due to financial problems, some are just indifferent in this issue, and there is also a factor of lack of confidence, however the citizen who needs advice and medical treatment within the framework of such campaigns should start to think that applying to a doctor is a necessity, in order a small issue not to become a bigger one in future since health is jewel in crown. Talking about the upcoming campaign, A. Kharazyan said: “All those who had not have an opportunity to apply to a doctor before, for one reason or another, can get free consultations and medical examinations within this campaign. And the list of doctors providing consultations includes leading specialists of the city, comprising the chief therapist of Yerevan. We attach great importance to our citizens’ health and do our best to preserve and restore their health”.
When asked what parallels can be drawn between the large and small centers providing medical care in Yerevan and Slavmed medical center, he answered: “The health sector is one of the areas where the quantity, being large or small does not matter if there are weak spots in the patient service process, starting from the way of reception of patients up to the possibility of preliminary examinations, management of proper treatment process, and payment issues. I think, definitions like “the only proper, the only effective treatment” here will be unserious: medicine is a day-to-day developing field that one should follow every day and try to walk in tune with time, with relevant knowledge and experience. Slavmed medical center is a multidisciplinary medical unit with a diagnostic department, laboratory, maternity home, departments of gynecology, urology, ENT, vascular surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, general, endoscopic, laparoscopic, micro- and plastic surgery. Arman Kharazyan assured that Slavmed medical center lacks such a practice where doctors will be prescribing unnecessary testings and sending patients from one doctor’s cabinet to another – an unpleasant and very common experience and added: we are willing to have such a place where the patient will not only see a modernized and well equipped medical center, but will also feel supported and cared for, a place where sanitary and hygiene conditions will be strictly maintained, and lastly a center, where a “single-window” payment principle will be applied, where the patient makes a payment to the cashier, according to the price list, and does not pay any extra money to the doctor, the nurse or the hospital attendant.
And such a strict approach was established by the founder of the Center Mrs. Hovakimyan.
