X-ray diagnostics department of Slavmed Medical Center is equipped with the world renowned cutting-edge technology equipment, with the use of which our experienced radiotherapists perform high-speed and targeted diagnostics with maximum comfort for the patient. X-ray examination is a rapid, accessible, easy and affordable method that in many cases allows the physician to immediately diagnose the disease and assign appropriate therapy. The department’s digitalized equipment allows to quickly get digital images, which greatly reduces waiting time for getting the results with minimal exposure to radiation, and the images produced are of high quality. The X-ray diagnostic department of Slavmed Medical Center performs a contrastive X-ray examination of the uterine cavity and permeability of phalopian tubes-Hysterosalpingography (HIC), which is one of the methods for evaluating the condition of the uterine tubes, the anatomic changes in the uterine cavity and revealing of adhesions in small pelvis.
These examinations are painless, so they are performed without anesthesia, under outpatient treatment. X-ray Osteodensitometry service is also available in the X-ray diagnostic department. Densitometry is the only diagnostic method that allows you to determine the bone mineral density, which is needed for prevention and early detection of osteoporosis as well as for the control of effectiveness of anti-osteoporotic treatment.
X-ray examination of the organs allows to specify their form, position, tonus, contractility, the condition of the relief of mucus membrane
For the purpose of revealing traumas of skull bone and various bone pathologies
Inflammatory diseases of paranasal cavity
Oncological diseases of paranasal cavity
X-ray study of the gastrointestinal tract is performed to diagnose inflammation, ulcers, polyps, diverticulitis, bowel obstruction and tumors
X-ray examination of biliary tract is performed to assess the contours, dimensions and lumen of intra- and extrahepatic bile ducts, to reveal the presence or absence of concrements
Chest X-ray allows diagnosing the infectious, contagious, neoplastic and other diseases of thoracic organs
X-ray examination of the spine allows to detect degenerative-dystrophic (osteochondrosis, spondylosis, spinal curvature), inflammatory and neoplastic diseases
X-ray examination of different parts of musculoskeletal system is carried out for the definition of different traumatic (fractures as well as joint dislocations and inflammatory changes), infectious, systemic involvements of bones and joints and neoplastic changes
Contrast X-ray examination of uterus and the patency of fallopian tubes – hysterosalpingography
There is no need for special preparation of patients for X-ray examination except for the study of digestive organs
Tubal infertility with the purpose of determination of uterine tubes patency
Bicornuate uterus with the purpose of revealing septum or other anatomical anomalies in the uterus
Suspected adhesion process in the small pelvis area with the purpose of diagnosis confirmation or denial
As a preventive examination it is advisable to undergo bone densitometry examination every other year in women 65 and older in case there are risk factors of bone tissue loss following the onset of menopause, as well as women under 65 and men 70 and older.
The radiation intensity in this study is 400 times less than in common X-rays.
